Sneaky Monkeys Forum _ Public Discussion _ reporting a couple of map exploiters

Posted by: KANE Sep 11 2017, 05:18 PM

Just reporting a couple of map exploiters. Belmez at the bit breaking king free.

Shurikz and Kave Mustermann.

Kave probably doesnt know its an exploit so fair enough ...Shurikz definitely does. But no admin so he does what he likes.

http://steamcommunity.com/id/shurikz/

unfortunately i didnt get Kave's steam

Still not sure if this is a map exploit. I asked Bloodsky in the server yesterday but he ignored me. I guess at no answer from any SM admin i'll assume not an exploit?

Thanks for your time and courtesy.

Those wooden barricades indicate that the area those two were in aren't meant to be accessed by anyone at that time. So they be exploiting a map oversight. I booted someone from the server a while back, who was abusing this as an archer. Although, there were two Knights in that area (Archers only really benefit from being behind it tbh). So it could be a rare bug. That I'm not sure about.

BTW, if you go into Steam and look to the top left-hand corner, you'll see 'View'. click on that to get to the dropdown list and find/click Players. You can use that to find players you've played with recently. The Kave fella may not show up on it, if you've played with a vast amount of other people after that round.

Oh and btw, Bloodsky is a lady. tongue.gif

Indeed this area shouldn't generally be reachable at this point, nor is it intended to be.

Having previously seen a spate of this, I've just issued bans for "glitching/map exploits" - usually to the tune of 7-30 days depending on what they're doing. (usually attacking people who are leaping up trying to reach them)
That being said if people appeal I usually lift the ban, with the understanding that they won't do it again.
If they get caught a second time it'll be a merry perma ban

ok thanks i just want them to be sensible. I did give shurikz a bit of a whiplashing as a reminder earlier today (or rather 'brandi' lashing) So no worries.

Im glad to see this answer from MonkeyFriend and thanks too to Kane for starting this topic.

Actually, the problem are, most of player considered that as a normal thing... and most other really "don't care" ( saying that for be nice, it's more aggressive answer in game when we talk about it) about it and this rules.

Every Belmez map we have this thing... many player using it for see Agatha Spawn and Spawnkill (or hide behind Agatha spawn). More sad, some real good player use it and will continue use it like Martti who i like it (real good trainer to parry and fight).

Anyways, i mean a video talk more than word so here he is as example:

https://youtu.be/aagW5q9uleE

As you see, it's not only one player but... many... really too many.

And here.

Few listen and are nice, most don't listen and are really aggressive.

Speaking of map bugs, I would like to ask a question.

In map belmez, second phase where agatha tries to break the flags etc
Is it ok for mason archers to shoot people behind the big Iron door (the big door where agatha spawns in 3rd phase)

I have never seen any good players shooting down people from there.
But some players do it over and over and it is frustrating a bit to be honest until you reach there because they can shoot all the way where agathian players pass to the left tower entrance. And also it is almost impossible I think for agathan archers to shoot them.

just curious. Would be glad if someone enlightens me about this.

It is a normal part of the map. They don't do anything "illegal" to go there, so I'd say they are free to do it.

thanks robin.

Unfortunately, whether it is a bug or not, only the Torn Banner can fix it.
However, if someone abuses it, like archer or MAA trying to throw oil pot, they will be warned then kicked.

Are you talking about KANE's post or the one from kundalini?
