Firstly here's the video:
Things to note:
1. Unlike BC2 we have onscreen health! Shown as a %
2. Kills/Deaths for others are displayed at the top left (like BF2). Kills for yourself are shown in the bottom centre (in bf2 it was left side)
3. There are stabbing animations
4. Around (0:24) a guy is stabbed by another wearing a gas-mask. Not sure if this is cosmetic or marks a return of the BF2 SF gas masks
5. You'll notice squad members are displayed on the left. There's a star to denote 'Squad leader' making a return as opposed to BC2
6. Apparently 4 man squads at the moment
7. The score system seems to be a Cod/BC2 abomination
8. Around 17seconds you'll notice a guy firing and their health going up. This could mean he's sat on a medkits, however it looks like regen health might be back. fucksocks.
9. At 18 seconds, firing through the Acog, he also appear to spot the enemy. Spot markers appear on the map.
10. The very beginning sees you following your squad leader (denoted by *). He's also a medic. (looks at the squad list). He's also carrying an LMG. BOOOOO!
11. Looks like the BC2 classes of assault, engy, medic and cowardly sniper make a return.
12. 3D spotting makes a return: http://i131.photobucket.com/albums/p311/Frontline1944/3DSpot.jpg
that's all from me :-)
Overall a more negative than positive reaction to this video for me
There's also a higher quality video here: http://www.battlefield.com/battlefield3/videos/e3-multiplayer-reveal
It looks good to me
agree with monkey, plus the fact it looks speed ramped its STILL looking like a blatent bc2 rip
From a non BF2 players point of view : vehicle ride seemed too smooth, explosions are awesome, mr stabby looked good, didn't like the damage flare around the screen, weapons seem weapony.
Overall I'm impressed but this still hints not much to me about multiplayer gameplay.
I see what you're saying.. What if they made the animation viewable only to the victim yet Mr. Stabby continues unhindered? Only time will tell ... but if I were them I'd be taking notes here
