yh seems a good idea

altho for some of the newer players even 50s is a bit of a scrape together

will put a backup plan here later, foxx already knows about it, but it's better for all if it's outlined properly biggrin.gif

ok, the plan is

Current Lotro lottory

everyone contributes 50 silver, draw is made once a week by our treasurer (foxx) , then winnings are posted to winning recipient

so total won will be (participents x 50sil)

K's improved lotro lottery

Everyone contributes 100silver per number chosen ( max of 3 numbers between values of 1 - 49)
numbers and silver are taken in advance of the weekly national lottery draw by the treasurer (prob foxx)
the winning lottery number will be the bonus ball of the nation lottery in the U.K. on a Saturday night.
numbers chosen are kept secret from everyone else, so the chance of split winnings are ensured, i also fully trust foxx to chosse her numbers and mark them down b4 taking anyone elses numbers

for example

K. chooses 3 numbers 4,34,21 for the cost of 300 silver
MF chooses 2 numbers 2,36 for 200 silver
Foxx Chooses 1 number 8 for 100 silver
Kirby chooses 2 numbers 8,20 for 200 silver

now if the bonus ball on sat night is none of those numbers then the whole prize fund roles over to the following week

if the bonus ball was 36 then MonkeyFiend wins the lot and scoops 800 silver

and finally if the bonus ball drops on 8 then Foxx + Kirby share the winnings 50/50 so each gets 400 silver

ok, we'll try the next lottery like that.
Only reason im hesitant is because its more organised and another thing to keep on top of, but if it goes well im happy to keep it.

Holy crap it's like I'm playing a real lottery now!!! I think I prefer the one entry of equal amounts all entrants pulled out of a hat type thing. Abilities for multiple number picking just confuses me and makes me angry because thoughts of systems and benefits from spending more money for more chances... and do I keep the same numbers every week? and also put a random bunch on top? and do it Wednesday's too and... KABOOM!

This is probably why, when confronted with the question 'is anyone in this cue doing the lottery?', I immediately grab another 6 pack of certainty and smile politely at the whores of false hope as they get all 'excited' and 'pen scribbly' and 'oooo but what if you won?'

Meh!

lol.
