Since there haven't been any threads for a while, I was thinking of starting one for an image competition: basically to take a photo of a member (that's 'clan' member, before you bunch of perverts get started) and do something funny with it

uhmm yeah I agree. or atleast give us a library of em. I don't have any idea where I would get pics of you lot. The ones on your front page of the site are too tiny to do anything with. Unfairly, Monkeyfriend has access to all the higher res ones.

yeah, uploading (or linking to) a suitable photo would be good
I'll leave this to individual choice though as some people get a bit funny about having photos of themselves mucked with. Personally I don't mind having my image abused

i personally hate facebook, everything i have on it has been uploaded by my gf or my friends. i only go on it now and again because people insist of communicating via it. all the pics of me are from when i was 15/16/17 (in my prime)

and tbh dude, most people i know who use facebook regularily, do it only cuz they were the last to get on the bandwagon and so its just hitting its peak for them. regularily i go on, and the same person has posted 15 things in the last 30 minutes.. and their status says something like "Joe Smith is really loving this facebook thing!" i just use it for pics mostly.. its also nice for setting up events if you are planning something and have to invite loads of people.. |

i just got the facebook thingy not long ago. mainly just for a few people from school, and some game clan buddies. i use it just to mess with people most the time, lol. but, i could always use more people to fuck with

old shake 2.51, the last version to work on windows... which works on XP, but for some reason does not work on vista. of course i'm talking about the hacked version tho not a legit copy. something about the physical address its trying to retrieve, that does not come thru right on vista.... i'm sure i can get it to work but it just wasn't as easy as simple installation. dont worry i havnt given up on comping your face

i'm fairly sure your example isn't the same thing..
I use shake at work, as my profession. I am a shake artist by job title. sure I threw the word wizard in there.... But I can't get shake working on my home machine for some reason I almost never use PS ever.. Unless you were a pilot as your profession, then your statement that you are a piloting wizard isn't really the same thing

oh right, and yeah I could uninstall it.. problem is my old XP was a hacked copy, and i wanted to get a legit copy, and when doing so purchased vista, as most people i knew said it wasnt nearly as bad as some have said.. so now i'm kind of stuck with it. and its definitely a piece of shit far more often then it does anything good

 it's the wickerdan... oh nevermind... it's late and I'm tired also I've installed this crock'o'shite known as CS4. I was going to do some stone effect but couldn't remember how, so you ended up with a vector. I also couldn't work out how the fuck one rotates a layer! Layer>Transform is not there! I was further annoyed by the various intrusive security that this shitty software installs for licence management. This took some time to remove. -------------------- |

editted hosts file to loopback to localhost
as for the transform, (i always enable the autoselect layer option - click on the top mouse cursor btn in the tool bar and itll appear on the top toolbar) just so you can click on a layer to select - then press cntrl +t, and you can you rotate, warp, distort etc by rightclicking within your selection and choosing from the menu. - im sure you no how to drag handles etc theres also flip vertical/horizontal etc in there oh and the stone thing is probably under layer effects, pattern overlay -------------------- |

hmm, will have to give that a go. As for the security, not such much the registration; its one of these pieces of software that mistakenly belies I want to allow it to install flaxnet licencing servie or macrovision components that run as services. Being an anal person that likes knowing everything the system is doing I won't allow these to be installed, let alone run, hence it required some code level tinkering with.
