Right time to annoy the fanboys on here, but I have to say...BC2 is a bit crap!

I understand all the nostalgia associated with the old Battlefield 2 days but BC2 comes nowhere near. Its buggy, unbalanced, a massive system hog full of cheating bastards (how exactly does someone get to lvl33 in the few weeks its been available). The M60 is overpowered and far to accurate which means that everyone uses it. You ironsite someone from 4 feet away using the decent assualt rifles and constantly miss (and no its not a lag issue thats sorted), the knife should be removed as its about as consistant as sunshine in Scotland. And the maps are dull as fuck. At least the BF2 maps had some scale. There are no tactics involved. Run here, run here run here. Fuck all teamwork as well.

Oh yeah and where is the fun factor. It actually made me do something that I can proudly say I have never done before. Ragequit. Played with Fox, Magiks and the R6 lot last night and it was fuckin awful. Spawn, M60 death, spawn M60 death, spawn M60 death, knife death, M60 death. Theres absolutely no chance of leveling up characters like the medic at the moment because you cant stay alive long enough to actually get any points. And Im pretty sure opening fire on someone 10 feet away with a pkm should pretty much kill them straight away.

Ill keep playing it for now as there is bugger all else about. If they actually balance the game it might get interesting but as soon as something more interesting arrives its purely to kill time.

Thing I dont get is all the hate that most people here poured onto L4D2 for not being original enough, then they constantly spodge all over this when is just a consolised version of BF2. Wow you can blow up buildings which is great until everyone bitches about Rush games being screwed because of this exact issue. Take that gimmick away and you are left with an average game that brings absolutely nothing new to the table.

And its doing absolutely nothing for this clan except a small minority. Half cant even run it without a major upgrade. And those that are playing it dont seem to stay in games long enough as there is always some reason to complain and leave.

Phew that feels better.

I agree with the L4D comment. It was constantly spoiled long maps and by people bugging out.

I think I can put my lack of accuracy down to crap choice in mice. The Saitek one i have is a bit awkward and the copperhead was not much better. Might stick in my old Microsoft one and see if that helps.

M60..hmmm. I could not figure out how people wher capping me from half the map away. Then fox gave me a quick lesson and it made sense. You effectivly use it like a sniper rifle and single tap shots. Great since its a support weapon and burst set. Hopefully it will be set like the M16 and have a minimum burst capacity at some point.

K..since the medic has bugger all at level 1 (PKM and Pistol) it makes it impossible to level as you cannot support people until you unlock the Medpack. Im sure it will improve once that open up. Its just impossible scoring more than 150 points per match. And destructable terrain negates hiding, especially if someone is mullering you with a tank or apc or noobtube (guilty) constantly. Plus the splash damage from a HE round is screwed. If you hide behind decent cover the splash damage still gets you.
