Poll on 1st person / 3rd person, Public vote Options

Hi all,

Although this is a decision to be taken by the clan, I feel that the public whom play on our servers should have a chance to provide their opinions. I'll therefore add this poll into the server message spam.

The poll relates to recent complaints about the combination of High FOV, 3rd person and lookdown overheads. It was confirmed as not a bug by the devs, however many feel that the culmination of these mechanics gives unfair advantage.

The only way to fairly prevent this (since if we ban it, we could only enforce individual bans based on admin interpretation) would be to remove the 3rd person view.

I am aware that many people use 3rd person view without using high FOV and looking at the floor while overheading shots.

Anyway, I'll add a similar poll in the clanmembers section, but figured the public vote would also give the clan something to consider as we have no definite numbers as to how many players use 3rd person.

Hey guys.

wow, i am really shoked. i played on the server, not knowing that you would change the setup of the server like that. Just my two cents on that topic:

- you will lose a lot of good gamers, which use to game only in 3rd person.
- its a game mechanic. you "allow" the guys to feint, but you dont allow to use 3rd person, because a minority abuses the "groundsniffing"? i dont see the logic.
- at the server we do not have often the problem that a gamer is abusing the so called "groundsniffing". if so, we tell him to stop, and in 90% the gamer stops it.
- i use to play vanguard in 1st and knight with hammer in 3rd. this means, that i will have to stop playing knight at SM. that means for me that i have to change the server, because i really love to play knight. its just a my fate/problem, i know.

think about it. this is the most wore decision ever made by SM.
