Hello there. I played on your server for a very long time. then one night I hit a guy in afk who occupied an archer's slot but did not kill him. I've been banned for about three months now. I consider myself a correct player, it seems to me a rather excessive penalty, all considered. Please let me in. Thank you.

Firstly "pulling threads out after a long time" - of course this is relevant. There's less of an issue with people that have broken the rules for racist language etc., made an appeal along the lines of "sorry, won't happen again" then go onto play without breaking any further rules. Happily this makes out over 99% of ban appeals (often because people are used to the somewhat "rule-free official servers".)

However there are always a few that return only to cause more trouble and as such there's a lack of giving those people the benefit of the doubt. Cosndiering a player's past form and history is relevant and common sense.

Additionally I'm not keen on people that try and wheedle and twist their language, so when you used racist language previously, a simple sorry would have been better than an attempt to convey it actually being an "anti-racist message". How naïve do you think people are?

Now regarding this ban. You say yourself you attacked a teammates (but of course with what you consider justification... in this case them being AFK). At the end of the day the rules say no intentional team damage, and you yourself admit that you intentionally team damaged. You were then banned.

Again instead of a "sorry, I broke the rules, won't happen again" type response, instead you go for

"I consider myself a correct player" - well you're not. You broke the rules and, rather more correctly, you got banned
"it seems to me a rather excessive penalty" - frankly I don't care what you think. You broke the rules, having previously broken the rules.

No actual contrition or acknowledgement of the rules that you broke. Instead excuses and flawed rationales for why you broke them.

The ban is currently permanent and based on your previous posts I see no reason to lift it. However, do feel free to make a more sensible post as an appeal and it'll be considered.

I can understand the antipathy, I can understand the will to enforce the rules to the letter but I just do not understand this fury about that old matter. Mine was not a racist insult. I was instead condemning a person who had turned a racist insult to another user. I do not understand why you say that I believe people are naive. You can ban me to life but I do not allow you in any way to make allusions about my morality. I am not a racist and I do not allow you in the most absolute way to say it. If you insist on this topic you will have news from my lawyer.
at this point if the environment is so sick I'm not interested in being part of it.
