i have corndawgs laptop right now. it won't run the updates. i have tried to manually update it and have tried to let the automatic updating work. it just acts like it is going to update and then just shuts off without actually installing the updates. it says it has around 45 updates that need to be installed. and the damn thing takes forever to start up

tried the command prompt stuff, gave me an error on some of them. even tried copying the files from an XP comp at school to flashdrive and pasting them in the folder on the laptop. nothing has worked yet. may try to get a recovery disc from dell and see if i can just reinstall

...even tried copying the files from an XP comp at school.... ![]() Remember when I said if you download the files makes sure they're for the right version of vista??? well .. oh never mind ![]() Like I said you can always use a vista disk and run an SFC /scannow You'll probably need to reinstall drivers but it'd reset windows to it's correct state -------------------- ![]() |
