i have corndawgs laptop right now. it won't run the updates. i have tried to manually update it and have tried to let the automatic updating work. it just acts like it is going to update and then just shuts off without actually installing the updates. it says it has around 45 updates that need to be installed. and the damn thing takes forever to start up
 anyone got any ideas how to fix?

for some damn reason i got confused on which operating system i was trying to fix. was trying to fix vista using xp. that didn't help at all. finally figured that out. then did a system restore and all is well
