On the front page is a new link (in the quicklinks section) for Player Stats

The new stats system allow stats tracking on our L4D servers, including

> Kills/Deaths, accuracy, favourite maps/weapons/players etc.,
> Forum signature with stats data
> A ranking system (based on kills)
> An awards system
> Server chat and command logging
> Clan performance data
> Server population and trends

It's still in development, so expect lots of bugs. There's also a goodle maps page which shows where in teh world players are connecting from - at the moment the server hosts are reviewing some custom perl that needs to be installed to the server to make this work.

> L4D heatmaps: technically this works, but is disabled. A heatmap shows where players kill/die, identifying area's where they take damage or are ambushed. It's disabled for the time being because generating these images is throttling our webserver tongue.gif

Nerd Note: The stats pages are ripped of an older free version of HLStatX,(Half Life stats system) a now premium (£6 per month) web engine. Because a lot has been rewritten to cope with L4D, there will be bugs tongue.gif

For display of stats; do you want the stats being tracked live (kill by kill) or say at the beginning or end of a round?

I'll have to see what I can do with this, obviously people don't want to see others stats as it would be a big annoucey mess, so having live stats that were sent as private messages or similar.

I don't believe this exists in HLstats (or more accurately it would be in sourcemod) but I'm foolhardy enough to go madly adjusting stuff and see what happens biggrin.gif


As for supported commands, many won't work as I took the last free dev version of the source code and bastardised it to work with the latest L4D, a lot of stuff was omitted or doesn't work with the game. Will try and piece together stuff that does work (or see if I can't some of the broken commands working too)

The points/difficulty things, I've not seen (hlstats being aimed at hl2/css etc., where people don't play coop tongue.gif) any sort of code for this on the developers forums. The problem is kills are logged as kills regardless of difficulty, am sure there is a way to link these to the difficulty as a modifier, but again I'll have to do some research.
