I've always used random servers when playing L4D so no idea how you connect specifically to an ip address.
I use to use HLSW for CS but not sure if can use it for L4D as well. I tried adding the SM server ip's through openserverbrowser in console but it doesn't wanna add any. And I dunno how you create a lobby then connect to SM server? -------------------- ![]() |

yeah, hlsw does indeed work with l4d and you can use it for the sort of stuff you are doing like connecting to servers.
The problem with hlsw is if you use rcon - there's a bug in l4d where if the server receives an rcon command during map change e.g. if its a bit laggy getting server logs at the end of round it crashes the server (shouldn't be a prioblem unless you stick rcon into hlsw though -------------------- ![]() |
