Although vaguely relevent for new year (but mostly because I'm nosy and bored) I was wondering what (alcoholic) drinks people favour?

My years as a student have taught me to drink most things, however for me:

Beer: leffe/hoegaarden
Spirits: Jaegermeister, Dark Rum, JD

your turn! you mincy cocktail drinkers!

heh, I had to google ziegenbrock since i suspected you'd made it up* tongue.gif

That authentic german name.... for a texan brewed beer

Monkeh

* The reason I thought you'd made it up is, with my minimum grasp of german, the 'bock' part is suffix of common german beers, however the word ziegen is german for 'goat' ... lols at the "GoatBeer!"

Approve of koppaberg and the spirits, but...

malibu?!

you damn dirty scum-farming filth monger! Although I suppose a drink made from the creamy liquid obtained from giant nuts is quite fitting tongue.gif

I used to be a massive beer fan.

Brown Ale
McEwans 80 schilling

and sometimes a Lager fan
Hoegartten a definate (although pricey)
Staroprammen (although drunk by wanker footballers)
Stella before it was called Wife beater.

But Its all fighting Man pop so I moved onto spirits.

Love a good Single Malt (Jura a recent favourite)
Dark Rum (although Elaine Banned me from it. She calls it madmans potion)
Vodka I got a taste for but knocked it on the head because its a bit to nice) - Mixed with a Mango Smoothie is fantastic, but a bit of a lassies drink.

And of course the mighty Jack Daniels

Ok so most of you now know that I am NOT a beer drinker. I'm a vodka girl. Although I do like a JD & coke as well. Basically as long as it's liquor, I'm good.

What I drink mostly:
  • Scotch - Johnny Walker most often (lame! - yes, I know...). I started with burbon (Jack Daniels), but then I found out that Scotch is ten times better. wink.gif
  • Mirabelle plum schnaps (I'm not into schnaps apart from that, though)
  • Wine (red, rosé) - Usually to meals.
What I drink sometimes:
  • Rum - In the cold time of the year I like to drink grog to warm myself from within.
  • Vodka - Mixed with lemon only. I don't like the taste of pure vodka.
  • Pilsner - When it's hot outside, a cold pilsner beer is always welcome.
  • Cocktails - Caipirinha and Mai Tai among others
What I avoid deliberately:
  • Alcoholic drinks mixed with cola - Ugh! Jack Daniels + Coke? *burp*
  • Top-fermented dark beer aka "Alt" - The taste is okay, but my stomach doesn't like it.

Carlsberg until I'm a little hammered followed by copious amount of vodka redbull. Then onto jagerbombs, skittlebombs and sambuca. That's generally the drinks if I'm out for a pub crawl then clubbing.

House parties etc is mainly just Carlsberg until the port comes out and we make cheeky vimtos.

Got my own New Years party this year tho so won't be coming up smile.gif

This was a rather ironic read, considering all fat women drink beer. fact.
