I've noticed a lot of servers are using the BC2 autobalancer 3rd party tool, made by a german student.

Basically the admin protocol still doesn't allow for autobalance. This tool checks the player list for inbalance, and when detected asks a player to switch by selecting the last player to join on the stacked side. If that player doesn't switch after the warning it kicks them. There is also a whitelist to prevent it switching/kicking specific clan members.

Am fairly sure we can add this to the dedicated app server that hosts the daemon, but not sure if it will impact server stability... probably need to do some testing with it

Opinions/Suggestions??

ta,

Monkey

Agreed, I think we should test it out.
