The more astute amongst you may have noticed two 16 slots server appearing on the front page.

Essentially I've got a little fucked off with gameservers.com and am looking to move our servers elsewhere.. preferably somewhere that doesn't crash all the time tongue.gif

The new servers are on

83.142.49.90:28011 <= Server #4
83.142.49.90:28010 <= Server #5

The new provider allowed a 16 slot server (for the chaotic 8v8 game that someone of you may have played in) however with a bit of monkeying around it's now operating as two 8 slot (coop, versus, survival) servers. If we want to play 8v8 again then we can take one of the servers down on the fly and reallocate the slots.

Everyone should have admin access as usual.. give me a shout if there are any problems.

thx,

MonkeyFiend

ok does this mean i can play coop on them without having to change configs again?

if so gr8

if not, where do i need to find the relevent access codes?

cheers for the new servers munkeh, i hope the pings are as good if not better =D
MonkeyFiend
fingers crossed we won't have to tinker with configs (although I will set up access in case people need to when I get a chance - will make a post)

Ping's wise the servers are a few miles away from the existing servers (in London) and on better hardware so the pings should be good

working so far so good, had a quick run on one of the servers no probs it switching from versus to coop biggrin.gif, no lags no stickiness on map transitions

after that it's all gravy biggrin.gif

sweet, are all the custom maps installed on the new servers?

MonkeyFiend
not yet - the custom ones are still on server #2. If the new servers work out then I'll get as many of the custom maps together as possible, upload them to one of the new game servers then try and sweet talk the providers to copying them to the other servers from their end (due to uploading to several servers being slow and eating bandwidth)

First though I'm going to make sure the damn servers work before starting any of that tongue.gif
