So you intentionally team killed before the end of a game. You broke the rules and got a temp ban.
Intentional TKing is forbidden and we try to enforce this as strictly as possible. It's easiest to make it a simple no tolerance rule.
Often happens when one person starts TKing before the end of a round, other join in and it just become a clusterfuck. A few charming individuals will take this into the next round.
Then the usual playground accusations begin of who started it first etc.,
Additionally anyone unlucky enough to join around that time will just think the SM server is just another server that allows that sort of thing in general.
The server logs all IPs (as well as steam guids), this also goes for admin using kick/ban powers. It's a bit faffy but from my perspective I can find out who made a ban at a given time and we can often discuss such things in the members area.
Many admins do post who made the ban in the ban message, more for convenience when a ban appeal comes up. It's not however mandatory: all ban appeals should be done through the site for various reasons - it provides an audit/history, it allows oversight of otherclan members (so that we know one member isn't just ban happy) and finally the process wastes some time (the SM guys are here to play games too, each occasion they have to kick or ban they often have to take time out of their own games to do so)
We've seen it a few times where direct contact from the ban recipient usually ends in just insult slinging.
Regarding who is complained about most - it may just be the case that an admin that tends to be on without other admins earlier in the morning e.g. Xacobo might end up making more bans, certainly during that time of the day. Doesn't mean the bans are unjust.
If anyone thinks a ban was unjust the process is they can appeal it here in steps. Firstly with a vote on the ban from the whole clan, I can also look into bans more closely and finally an independent 3rd party.
Typically though, bans are 99% justified. As has happened on a couple of occasions admins that have made spurious bans or broken our rules are usually removed from the clan and banned from the servers. This in itself is pretty easy to police; general guests on the server are typically quite keen to screenshot/record an admin breaking the rules

Happily it occurs infrequently.
So back to the point, you made a one-off TK? We do tend to find people that TK it's not generally a one off. Tip of the iceberg: for every 1 occasion of TKing an admin sees there's another 8 that they don't (and that's from taking a random 7pm match recording and playing it back through the SDK to see what the actual visibility rate is

)
You broke the rules, you got a temp ban. I'd agree if the ban was permanent it'd be harsh. In your situation a kick or a temp ban is appropriate and in line with the rules. It is however, at the admins discretion.
Kicking is useful for one off behaviour problems. The other issue is regulars on the server - simply put if a level 5 joins the server and TKs it's a bit more forgivable. At the end of the day if someone breaks the rules we should take action, I'm generally not a fan of favouritism for regulars, quite the opposite: For a rank 50+ who, thanks to hundreds of hours logged on the server, must know the rules and has chosen to ignore them.
If it were me I probably also temp ban (not from the type or amount of the TKing, but because it was obviously intentional).
This topic as an appeal though, I'd not lift the ban early and given the content and lack of any contrition, I'd probably increase the ban by a f ew days to allow some time to consider the rules and why they're there.
However the ban was not made by me and a quick look, it looks like the ban has already expired, so this is probably a moot topic.
